For the second year running, during his current tour of the UK, Chichester Jazz Club welcomed back tenor saxophonist Danny Moss.
He appeared with the Pete Godfrey Trio and treated a packed audience to an impressive selection of famous standards and jazz classics.
From the quality of his playing, it was evident that here was a musician that had performed at the top of his profession for 60 years. His early career saw him breaking through as a featured soloist with the Heath and Dankworth Big Bands of the 1940s and 50s. He then went on to lead his own bands as well as play with musicians such as Alex Walsh, Humphrey Littleton, Peanuts Hucko and Dave Shepherd.
On the night, a delighted audience were thrilled to witness a return visit of one of their favourite perfomers and wished him a safe journey back to Australia where he prefers to spend his winters!
