Louise Parker grew up in a house filled with music - folk, calypso, opera, trad, swing and bebop. Her vocal influences include Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holliday but her music also has traces of funk and gospel. From all this she has developed the distinctive style that thrilled our audience on her CJC debut in February 2010.

Louise’s career took a big leap upwards after Humphrey Lyttelton asked her to make appearances with his band on hearing her second album, No More Strangers. Since then, mainly working with tonight’s outstanding Devon-based quartet, her career has continued to make exceptional progress.

Full line-up: Louise Parker - vocals, Craig Milverton – piano, Al Swainger -bass, Coach York - drums.

Guest admission: £10

All meetings start at 7.45pm - doors open at 6.30pm
