We were very disappointed to receive a call telling us that the extremely popular Max Collie's Rhythm Aces had to pull out of this concert. Sadly, Max had become seriously ill and at the age of 80, no longer felt able to run the band.

The replacement band was ideal, however! Other than Max, all the Rhythm Aces players had worked regularly in the Jazzaholics band, which banjo player Jim McIntosh formed in 2007. Replacing Max will be Micky Cooke an outstanding trombonist and singer, whose vast experience included Acker Bilk's Paramount Jazz Band (1987 - 2003) and the Phil Mason All-Stars (2003 - 2009).

Completing the line-up will be Denny Ilett - trumpet and vocals, Roger Myerscough - clarinet and vocals, Andy Lawrence - bass and Baby Jools - drums.

Guest admission: 9.00

All meetings start at 7.45pm - doors open at 6.30pm
