Internationally acclaimed bassist and bandleader, Gary Crosby is well known for his work with the Jazz Jamaica All Stars but tonight he reveals another side to his jazz persona with a more compact, more intimate project.

He describes his Groundation a ‘group discussion’ between himself on double bass and award-winning alto saxophonist Nathaniel Facey and rising stars Shirley Tetteh and Moses Boyd on guitar and drums.

Each member of Groundation contributes pieces to the set making for a wonderfully diverse and engaging programme. Progressive jazz with some Afrobeat accents interspersed with thoughtful ballads. Vital and enthralling!
